The red stripe running from San Jose to Jako Beach is the recommended driving directions from the San Jose airport to the Riptide Lodge.

Since the road signs in Costa Rica are less than great, it is best to simply follow the road "Signs' to Jaco Beach.

There are a lot of signs to the Best Western in Jako Beach that should help you stay on track. Jaco Beach is basically a one horse town where everyone knows each other!

Around the point from Jaco Beach is Playa Hermosa and Riptide Lodge is on the main road in Hermosa. The name of the road is "Calle Hermosa" which is a well maintained dirt road (very common around here) and there are no street addresses on this road so you have to use landmarks. Riptide Lodge is one kilometer off the main road on "Costa Nero" (follow sign to Reiki Camp ) the lodge is just over the bridge, across the street from Reiki Camp! Anyone you ask in Hermosa Knows where Pino (your host) lives !!!
